This week everyone pushed their skills a bit further by attempting a still life in acrylics. We looked at the Italian painter Morandi for inspiration. Morandi focused on painting bottles and jugs for most of his life, his paintings have a real sense of calm and serenity to them. Next week we will begin to draw all these lessons together as the students attempt their large scale canvas paintings.
